2022 3Ts of Education Grants Celebrate Nearly $10M Given Over Past 25 Years

Through the 精东影业 Foundation鈥檚 3Ts of Education grant program, a total of 153 schools across the U.S. received $504,500 in funding to support Technology, Textbooks, and Training efforts. Each school awarded a grant has children and/or grandchildren of 精东影业 employees in attendance during the 2021-2022 academic school year. Over the past 25 years, the 精东影业 Foundation has contributed nearly $10 million to strengthening the learning environment in hundreds of K-12 schools nationwide through this program.
After a year pause on the annual celebratory check presentations, many 精东影业 employees met with school administration members in early 2022 to personally present their school鈥檚 3Ts of Education grant.
鈥淗aving the opportunity to present a grant check to the school is a really meaningful part of the 3Ts grants program鈥 said Tennyson Oyler, President, 精东影业 Foundation. 鈥淚t gives a chance for parents and children to meet the school principal, and also an opportunity to share 精东影业鈥檚 commitment to giving back to our communities.鈥
Developed in 1998, the 3Ts of Education grants program funds K-12 education focused on: Technology, Teacher Training, and Textbooks as designated by each school鈥檚 principal. Many schools this year will be utilizing the funds to offer enhanced virtual learning support, along with wireless technology to allow for more interaction and in-depth classroom engagement.
Viejo Elementary, a Title 1 school in Orange County, CA that serves 522 students will be using the grant to purchase two document cameras to display student and teacher work in the classroom. 鈥淭he document cameras are a great addition to classrooms to support student learning. Viejo is grateful for the opportunity to receive the $3,000 grant from the 精东影业 Foundation. Our students and staff are very much in appreciation of this wonderful donation,鈥 said Principal Jesus Becerra.
Other schools will be applying the 3Ts grant toward teacher training or classroom materials.听 Aliso Niguel High School in Orange County, CA will be supporting training for a year-long link crew advisor to support 9th graders as they transition into high school life.听 While Harry Andersen Middle School in Omaha, NE will be purchasing a subscription to Accelerated Reader to support literacy efforts.
The 2022 3Ts of Education grants will ultimately be supporting more than 145,000 students and 7,000 teachers.听
